Nancy L. Little Among 2011 "Women in the Law"
Nancy Little has been selected as one of 20 honorees for Michigan
Lawyers Weekly's Women in the Law. The honorees were recognized on September 26 at a luncheon at the Detroit
Marriott in Troy. The Michigan Lawyer's Weekly editorial panel selected the 20 and considered a number of criteria,
including how the nominees:
- Commit to excellence in the practice
of law;
- Serve as inspiring and accomplished leaders in the
profession; - Are mentors to other women; and
- Contribute significant
time and effort to volunteerism and/or pro bono work.

Lawyer's Weekly Publisher Donald Semmermann said, "With so many great candidates comes a great opportunity for us to

Joe C. Foster Jr. Receives "Lifetime Achievement Award"
Joe C. Foster Jr. has been awarded the Ingham County Bar Association's
Lifetime Achievement Award. This prestigious award recognizes attorneys who have made significant contributions to
the practice of law. The ICBA recognized Joe's national stature in the area of trusts and estates as well as the many
contributions he has made to continuing legal education through authoring legal treatises and lecturing at continuing legal
education seminars.

Several Lawyers Named to Michigan Super Lawyers
Joe C. Foster Jr. (Estate Planning and Probate; Taxation), Patricia
M. Ouellette (Estate Planning and Probate; Family Law), Nancy L. Little (Estate Planning & Probate), and Michelyn
E. Pasteur (Elder Law, Estate Planning & Probate, Corporate Law) have also been named to Michigan Super Lawyers. Additionally,
Nancy L. Little has been named by Super Lawyers as one of the Top 50 Women Lawyers. Super Lawyers selects attorneys using
a rigorous, multiphase rating process. Peer nominations and evaluations are combined with third party research. Each candidate
is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. Selections are made on an annual, state-by-state
basis.

Steve Brey recently joined our firm as an associate.
Steve clerked for the Michigan Attorney General before joining our firm as a law clerk during his third year of law school
at MSU School of Law. He graduated from MSU School of Law in 2010 and was admitted to the Michigan Bar. Steve is
now studying for the Florida Bar exam. Good luck, Steve! Steve's practice will focus on business, tax, and
trusts and estates.
We are also pleased to announce the addition of Katie Lynwood, also a graduate of MSU School
of Law (2008). Katie is licensed in Michigan and Florida. She is a member of the Greater Lansing Estate Planning Council,
where she serves as Vice President. She is also active in the Young Lawyers Sections of the Michigan Bar, Florida Bar, and
Ingham County Bar. Katie will practice in the areas of trusts and estates, elder law (including Medicaid), and family
law. In her spare time, Katie is an Autism Alliance Partner.
